* Use the XCB CloseWindow routine instead of the old XLib routine during the ↵Ken Moore2015-02-17
| | | | session cleanup.
* Have the clock panel plugin try to use vertical space rather than horizontal ↵Ken Moore2015-02-17
| | | | if the panel is vertical.
* Clean up how the lumina-desktop closes down:Ken Moore2015-02-17
| | | | Now it is run through a "CleanSession" function beforehand to try and safely close down any applications/trays. Als reduce the number of filesystem watchers: only have one in the session itself, which sends out a signal when the desktop settings config file changes (instead of a watcher in every desktop class).
* Clean up some more debugging output from the LPanel class (make it ↵Ken Moore2015-02-17
| | | | switchable in the code like most of the others). Also fix a signal/slot issue with the userbutton (minor).
* Remove some temporary debugging statements.Ken Moore2015-02-17
|
* Fix some panel interactions.Ken Moore2015-02-17
| | | | | 1) Found/fixed a bug with a panel mis-reporting which number it was. 2) Clean up the panel interface management in lumina-config.
* Oops, fix another crash with desktop plugins: forgot to disable the ↵Ken Moore2015-02-16
| | | | synctimer when the plugin is closed/removed.
* Clean up some plugin interactions (including an OpenBSD crash with desktop ↵Ken Moore2015-02-12
| | | | plugin interactions).
* Add the ability to set different date/time formats on a session-wide scale, ↵Ken Moore2015-02-05
| | | | and have the clock plugin instantly update to the new format (backwards compatible with no formats set)
* Finish cleaning up that last bits of hard-coded stylesheets, and tie them in ↵Ken Moore2015-02-05
| | | | to the lumina theme system.
* Add the ability to distinguish between desktop plugins that should be ↵Ken Moore2015-02-03
| | | | transparent/opaque on a plugin-level. This allows for finer control via the theme.
* Make sure that the panel has the "sticky" flag set. This ensures that it is ↵Ken Moore2015-02-02
| | | | consistant across all workspaces.
* Merge pull request #45 from Nanolx/lumina-x11Ken Moore2015-01-30
|\ | | | | proper initialization of lumina-panel
| * proper initialization of lumina-panelChristopher Roy Bratusek2015-01-30
| | | | | | | | | | - ensure it gains _NET_WM_WINDOW_TYPE_DOCK - set _NET_WM_WINDOW_NAME to LuminaPanel (for window-managers that support window rules)
* | Oops, make sure that if brightness controls are not available, that the ↵Ken Moore2015-01-30
|/ | | | system dashboard hides that control option.
* Clean up how Lumina loads the startapps files. Now it will combine any files ↵Ken Moore2015-01-28
| | | | that are found, allowing for system-wide defaults in addition to user-set defaults.NOTE: all the system files are named "luminaStartapps" whereas the file in the user's config is "~/.lumina/startapps"
* read /etc/luminaStartapps aswellChristopher Roy Bratusek2015-01-28
|
* Add knowledge of the lumina-info utility to the Lumina desktop (userbutton, ↵Ken Moore2015-01-28
| | | | | | config menu). Also make sure that there is a *.desktop shortcut for the application (and update the pkg-plist) Also allow for "-<something>" to be put in the version number without messing up the version checking routine, and tag the current version on the master branch as 0.8.2-devel (once the stable/official release is branched, the "-devel" tag will get either dropped or changed to "-release" in that branch, with the master branch moving on to the next <version>-devel)
* Quick fix for the desktop plugins system: too many different lock flags ↵Ken Moore2015-01-21
| | | | causing random issues. Cut it down to 2 boolians only now, and the desktop responds correctly/reliably again.
* Add a completely new background method for a distributor to set per-system ↵Ken Moore2015-01-21
| | | | defaults for the Lumina desktop. Also fix a bug this exposed in how the Lumina panel removes plugins.
* Clean up a couple other session options:Ken Moore2015-01-21
| | | | | | 1) Fix the "Open Home Dir" option in the application menu. 2) Have the logout window open on the current screen (instead of always the left screen) 3) Hide the logout window when starting the logout procedure.
* Clean up all the dialog usage in the notepad and audioplay desktop plugins. ↵Ken Moore2015-01-21
| | | | Now the dialogs should not prevent the desktop from updating appropriately (not modal).
* Add a new panel-plugin: appmenuKen Moore2015-01-21
| | | | | This plugin re-creates the classic "start" menu from other OS's. Also update how panel-plugins open menus, so now the menu will no longer cover the button that opened it.
* Completely revamp the notepad desktop plugin so that it is now file-based ↵Ken Moore2015-01-20
| | | | instead of saving everything into the plugin settings directly. This allows it to manage generic text files as well as just the *.note files in ~/Notes.
* Fix the global->local coordinates transformation for calculating whether the ↵Ken Moore2015-01-19
| | | | mouse has left a panel or not. Now it works properly on all screen edges.
* Clean up the active window detection/usage for the task manager.Ken Moore2015-01-19
|
* Add a new panel plugin: HomeButtonKen Moore2015-01-19
| | | | This button will hide all open windows so the desktop is visible (useful for touch screens or small devices)
* Update the theming of the Lumina desktop:Ken Moore2015-01-19
| | | | | 1) Now the panel appearance will be set by the theme as well (unless custom appearance set) 2) Now the desktop plugins are themed appropriately as well (background canvas can be set to something, non-transparent plugins can be changed)
* Update the user button to recognize the existance of a customized user icon ↵Ken Moore2015-01-19
| | | | for PCDM and use that for the icon instead (~/.loginIcon.png)
* Oops, missed resetting one of the lock flags in the desktop.Ken Moore2015-01-19
|
* Fix a lockfile violation in the desktop plugin removal process. Now there is ↵Ken Moore2015-01-19
| | | | no chance of it crashing when plugins are removed.
* Quick update to the new audioplayer plugin. Now there is a label which ↵Ken Moore2015-01-17
| | | | displays the current song number in the rotation (<num>/<total>), and a progressbar shows a rough estimate of how much longer the running song has.
* Add a new desktop plugin: audioplayerKen Moore2015-01-16
|
* Have the user button automatically perform the long application listings in ↵Ken Moore2015-01-16
| | | | the background, as soon as apps are changedon the system (not when the user clicked the button any more)
* Quick fix for auto-hidden panels. Ensure that the mouse is actually outside ↵Ken Moore2015-01-16
| | | | the panel area, don't just rely on the event notification (Qt treats the system tray as a "foreign" window and send leave event anyway).
* Fix a bug with removing desktop plugins.Ken Moore2015-01-15
|
* Set the "Does not accept focus" Qt flag on the base Lumina Panel window.Ken Moore2015-01-08
|
* use QT5LIBDIR in all qmake filesChristopher Roy Bratusek2015-01-08
|
* Turn off some of the debugging for the lumina-desktop session in preparation ↵Ken Moore2015-01-05
| | | | for releasing 0.8.0
* Put another couple quick fixes in:Ken Moore2015-01-05
| | | | | 1) Do not adjust the width of new windows (even if they go off the right side of the screen, they still have some part of them on the main screen) 2) Add better crash handling to lumina-open (put the standard error text or standard output text of the application in the "details" for the message box).
* Clean up the Panel/Taskmanager XCB usage quite a bit. Now the panel is ↵Ken Moore2015-01-05
| | | | "seen" by fluxbox when a window is maximized, and the task manager works with the highly asynchronous XCB events.
* Quick checkpoint of additional XCB improvements/fixes. Still having an issue ↵Ken Moore2015-01-05
| | | | with fluxbox maximizing windows underneath panels at the moment.
* Add support for the LIBPREFIX qmake variable for all the project files. This ↵Ken Moore2015-01-03
| | | | allows a user to run qmake LIBPREFIX="something" PREFIX="something" to ensure that libraries are found in the proper location.
* Large update of XLib -> XCB usageKen Moore2015-01-01
| | | | | 1) Add ability for task manager to minimize/maximize window from details menu 2) Add quick check/movement of new windows to make sure they are not underneath any panels
* Make the taskmanager plugin capable of two modes:Ken Moore2014-12-31
| | | | | | 1) The normal mode/behaviour is to group windows by application (backwards compatible) 2) The "-nogroups" mode ensures that every window gets it's own button (uses a lot more space on the panel since it need to put part of the window title on each button too) This two modes are treated as distinct plugins via lumina-config for simplification purposes.
* Clean up how translations are loaded for all the Lumina utilities, and also ↵Ken Moore2014-12-30
| | | | apply the relative path fixes to all LSingleApplication's forwarded inputs.
* Commit some more XLib->XCB conversions (everything for the task manager), ↵Ken Moore2014-12-30
| | | | and fix a stray seg fault in the XCB window class detection routine.
* Clean up all the Qt5 *.pro files a bit. Now they should always work.Ken Moore2014-12-23
| | | | | | | | | Also do a large clean up of the file operations in lumina-fm: 1) When doing copies of directories, make sure to properly copy all child files/dirs (no matter how deep) 2) Clean the order of directory copies so that you can successfull make a copy of a directory into itself (copy ~/Test -> ~/Test/Test for example) 3) Check for attempting to *move* a directory into itself and show a warning to the user about an invalid operation. 4) Get the total number of files/dirs to be operated on before starting operations. This allows the UI to be more detailed about what it is doing at that particular time. 5) If a directory fails to copy for some reason, don't try to copy all the children of that directory either (they will all fail and just bloat the list of errors)
* Oops, forgot to add the new LXcbEventFilter.h file to GitHub. This class is ↵Ken Moore2014-12-22
| | | | required in Qt5 to parse the XCB events (since X11 Events are no longer detected/used)
* Fix up the sticky status-setting routine for the Lumina Panel. Now the WM ↵Ken Moore2014-12-19
| | | | | | will be aware of the new status change (send an event instead of changing the property directly). Also add a quick fix for system tray icons: if the icon size does not match the tray size, send a resize event and redraw a few moments later.
