Preserving for the future: Shell scripts, AoC, and more

Luanti contributions, part 2

This list is kind of for myself, but also for anyone who cares (all one of me) about what value I bring to the Free Software world.

  • I fixed the dyed pouches for real. I haven't submitted a PR for the fix for dyed pouches in inventory_icons yet, but I suppose since it's the same branch the previous PR (still open) includes it.
  • I got tired of the snow never falling on not-snow-covered spots in snowy biomes, so I submitted a PR for that. I think the main design for snowfall is to check effective light (natural and artificial) but so far in mineclonia it only checks natural light, so snow still falls all around a torch.
  • I added biome name and optional mod respawn support to mtui and its associated mod. That's an amazing project in and of itself!
  • I had a good conversation with a developer of mineclonia about molten_sailor_mcl, and was able to improve the mod so that game mineclonia does not need any modifications. The lava suit can be configured to be used up in lava, or not, and does not need mineclonia changes.
  • I ported a Minecraft mod Obsidian Extra for Mineclonia. This is not released to ContentDB yet but it should be.

I should bother to see if I can adapt these for MTG (aka vanilla luanti):

  • molten_sailor_mcl: it offers improvements in setting the durability of the lava suit
  • inventory_icons and pouches: to make sure they support MTG and mineclonia
  • obsidian_extra
